Sustainability

Millar Boddington garments are produced in small quantities in Aotearoa, New Zealand*. Some pieces are made in-house, but generally they are sewn by Wellington-based machinists who are paid a living wage.

*Excl. printed T-shirts and totes. Screen-printing is done locally using GOTS certified ink.

Our fabrics are mostly deadstock from local fabric suppliers. Other fabrics are sourced from trips to Japan. We also occasionally upcycle vintage textiles, trims or garments. Fabric composition is always included in the garment's description.

We recommend washing your garment separately on the first wash. From then onwards, washing with like colours is best to prevent any excess dye from damaging your clothing. Please follow the care instructions provided on the label inside your garment to keep it in good shape for longer. If you have any questions regarding fabric composition or care, do not hesitate to contact us.
